Ordering of Repeat Medications

From 4th July 2016 we will no longer accept prescription requests from the Chemist.  You can only order medication by

1.  Placing your repeat medication slip in the box located in the waiting area

2.  Order online via our practice website at www.burnbankmedicalcentre.co.uk

3.  Telephoning our new prescription voicemail system 01698 456622 (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)

It is estimated that over £15 million pounds worth of prescribed medication in Scotland is wasted each year.  We all have a part to play in reducing this.

 

Failure to Attend Appointments

PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOU FAIL TO ATTEND AN APPOINTMENT YOU WILL BE SENT A LETTER ADVISING YOU OF SAME.  SHOULD YOU FAIL TO ATTEND 3 TIMES WITHIN A YEAR YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM OUR PRACTICE LIST AND ASKED TO REGISTER WITH ANOTHER PRACTICE.

Investigation results may be given by reception staff or our results administrator once they have been viewed by a doctor.   The doctor will usually advise staff of your results, allowing information to be passed to you over the telephone.

For reasons of patient confidentiality please call personally for results preferably between 1.00pm and 5.00pm (from Monday 2nd July)    We do not give out results at our reception desk to maintain patient confidentiality.

 

Please ensure that the specimen containers are properly labelled and handed over at our reception desk.
