The practice is unable to offer you certification of covid vaccination, a vaccination passport or a letter to prove you have been vaccinated against COVID19.

These proof of vaccination documents have not yet been developed and as such cannot be provided by your GP.   As soon as we have further information we will share it with you.


We are now able to offer the Covid-19 vaccination to all over 80 patients (Housebound patients will be contacted by NHS Lanarkshire, not the GP practice). We have not been asked to immunise any other age group.

If you have symptoms that you are concerned about, there is a dedicated Coronavirus Helpline on 0800 028 2816.

 All eligible patients will be contacted by telephone during the next few weeks; please DO NOT contact your GP practice to request an appointment.
We ask that you attend this appointment alone where possible and wear a face covering. Please attend at the EXACT time you are given. We must adhere to social distancing rules. We can only allow a certain amount of patient's in at one time. If you attend, early you may need to wait out side the building until it is your turn, if you attend late, you may not be seen.

Flu Vaccinations - **update** - 

From Monday 23 November, if you are due to receive your flu vaccination and haven’t received an appointment, you can contact NHS Lanarkshire directly to request an appointment. Call 01698 687456 or email with your name, address, date of birth and telephone number.

Please do not contact your GP practice, as they cannot book or reschedule your appointment. 

NHS Lanarkshire is asking local residents to play their part and be flu smart This year, NHS Lanarkshire is delivering flu vaccinations to everyone who is eligible – this is more than 300,000 people. Dr Linda Findlay, Medical Director South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership, said: “The scale of the programme and the need to observe physical distancing means that clinics need to be held in large community venues. We expect there to be a high demand for this year’s vaccine and would like to thank everyone in advance for their patience with this new way of delivering this important vaccine.” The eligible groups are:

2 to 5 years (not yet in school)

Everyone aged under 65 at risk

Everyone aged 65 and over

People who have been shielding and members of their households

55 to 64 years (who are not otherwise eligible, if vaccine supplies allow later in the programme)

If you are eligible for the flu vaccination you will receive an invite with an allocated appointment at a local community vaccination clinic. If this appointment is not suitable, please call the number on your invite to reschedule. Invites will be sent in batches, from mid-September, to make sure that the service can cope with the demand. You may receive your invite on a different date than usual, but you will receive one. Appointments need to be allocated this year due to the sheer number of people to be vaccinated. There will be no drop-in clinics as we need to manage the number of people at each clinic to ensure physical distancing. Pregnant women will receive their vaccine from their midwife and primary school children will receive it at school. Dr Findlay added: “This year, more than ever, it is important that you receive your flu vaccine if you are eligible. Flu is serious and with covid-19 still circulating in the community we all need to play our part to keep ourselves as healthy as possible over the winter months.

Face Coverings - We have been advised by NHS Lanarkshire that people who are exempt from wearing face coverings are not required to carry proof that they are exempt for medical reasons. They do not need exemption letters or certificates from the practice and their word should be accepted by relevant organisations. As such practices do not need to provide any proof of exemption for their patients.

When Making An appointment our reception staff will ask you for a brief description of the issue that you have, this is to ensure that they are booking you in with the best person to help you with your condition. We have a diverse mix of staff who can help.

Test Results

From Monday 2nd July test results will be available over the telephone from 1.00pm to 5.00pm.    Results are only given out to the patient and are not available at the reception desk due to patient confidentiality.

The current system for ordering repeat medication on-line has changed.  Please see the Prescriptions section of our website for further information.

HGV, PSV Medicals

HGV, PSV Medicals etc are currently not provided by the practice.  Please source an alternative private provider via an internet search.


Appointment Cancellation Line (24 hours)

We have introduced a 24 hour appointment cancellation line.  The number is (01698) 456623.  This is an automated service.

Incoming Telephone Lines

Due to an increase in patient demand for appointments we have doubled our incoming telephone lines from 2 to 4.   This should improve our service to patients.


Repeat Prescription Order Line (24 hours)

We have introduced a 24 hour prescription order line.  The number is (01698) 456622.  This is an automated service which should be used to order only regular medication.   Requests for antibiotics should be directed to reception on (01698) 286555.
