Pharmacy First

The NHS Pharmacy First service is an enhanced NHS service where community pharmacists can give patients advice/treatment for various minor illnesses and common clinical conditions.

They can treat conditions such as:

  • Coughs, colds, flu and sore throats
  • Nasal Congestion
  • Hayfever 
  • Constipation
  • Thrust
  • UTI's
  • Warts or Verrucae
  • Athlete's foot
  • Threadworms 

Some pharmacies have a Prescribing Pharmacist where antibiotics can be prescribed for Chest Infections, Ear Infections, Skin Infections, Respiratory Infections and Tonsillitis. Please use your search engine to find your closest Prescribing Pharmacist.
